Can I use insurance to pay for my testing?
Conventional tests ordered by a doctor are more likely to be covered by insurance, but the amount of coverage varies and is based on your insurance policy. In some cases, you may still have a payment.
At this time, functional laboratory tests are not directly covered by insurance. However, there are options to help with payment or cost:
If your insurance plan includes out-of-network benefits for lab testing, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement when you submit a Superbill
If you have an HSA or FSA account with your insurance plan, you can utilize those pre-tax funds to cover the cost of testing
No interest payment plans for lab testing via Rupa Health to help reduce upfront cost
InBody 580 reports are not covered by insurance. They are only available to clients working with Insight Nutrition (no walk-ins). Please contact me for further information.
